My Project
My students come from a variety of backgrounds, disabilities, and personalities, but the one thing they all share is that they enjoy coming to speech. Some of their favorite activities involve interactive books and acting out stories. They also like earning prizes for working hard in speech. Recently, a student of mine wouldn't pick out a prize because he thought my prizes were too boring.
Help give my students some fun prizes and engaging activities to do in speech.
I'm asking for some materials to make speech more fun and engaging. I need laminating sheets and velcro to make interactive books that will interest them and make them motivated to read. Puppets will serve as a way for them to act out stories and practice their social skills. And most importantly (at least to the students) prizes that are fun and not boring, including fidget spinners, crayons, and squishy toys.
