My Project
I am requesting a color printer to use in my speech room to help me create beautiful and effective adaptive books for my students. My students are minimally-verbal or non-verbal communicators, many of whom use picture symbols to communicate. I use colorful interactive, adaptive books and materials with them daily to increase their speech and language skills. However, our school is lacking a color printer to create these materials with.
I want to assist my students in exploring the beautiful world around them and giving them a voice.
This printer will provide my students with engaging visuals which will help increase their motivation to communicate. When a child looks at a picture and you see the enamor in their eyes, it is such an incredible feeling.
