My Project
To support my students' communication development, I am requesting a variety of engaging and effective speech and language tools. These resources will help me be a more effective and organized Speech-Language Pathologist by providing engaging, evidence-based tools to support my students’ communication goals.
Peaceable Kingdom Stone Soup Cooperative Board Game – This cooperative game helps build essential social and language skills such as turn-taking, sequencing, and expressive language.
It encourages students to describe, listen, and work together in a fun, interactive way.
Say Arrr: Talk Like A Pirate - Eliciting R – Many students struggle with the "R" sound. This creative, pirate-themed resource keeps them engaged while targeting a difficult articulation sound through themed activities that promote repetition and confidence.
R Sound Chaining – This resource breaks down the "R" sound into manageable steps using chaining techniques. It's especially helpful for students who need structured, progressive practice to master this challenging sound.
Speech Sound Handbook by Peachie Speechie – A comprehensive guide for speech therapists, this resource includes elicitation techniques, visuals, and word lists for a wide variety of sounds. It helps me plan effective, individualized lessons for my students.
Gobble Monster Game by Goliath – This playful game adds excitement to speech sessions while targeting turn-taking, vocabulary, and articulation practice. Students are highly motivated when learning is paired with fun!
