This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My speech students are amazing and they love to learn! I am requesting items, such as communication cards, a word building center, and the Arctic Bingo sound game, that will help to improve their communication skills inside and outside of the classroom. These items will increase their sequencing skills, production of speech sounds (s, r, and l blends), forming a complete sentence (describing), increase vocabulary (state meaning of unfamiliar words), spelling (help articulation), and help my nonspeakers to communicate their wants and needs. Having a laptop stand will be very helpful during therapy so I don't have to hold it. I will be able to use it on tables and outside, if they students decide to have the session in a different location. I am always trying to make speech fun by bringing new materials into the sessions. I work in a low income neighborhood and these students are very deserving and would appreciate any new materials. Thank you.
