SPED Students Give Me Strength

Help me give my students an IPAD. I reference websites, learning and lifeskills sites in addition to being able to access math resources. I communicate with my kids constantly and this will enhance my ability to do this.

My Students

I am in my dream job. I am a SPED teacher for high school. I spent 21 years as a financial advisor and changed careers. This is my calling. I have 35 kids on my caseload that have shown me kindness, compassion and patience. They are ALL worthy of learning and being appreciated.

This year has been very trying and difficult.

I have students who have abuse, absent parents, death of parents due to COVID, depression. You name it, these kids have lived through or are currently living through it. They inspire me each and every single day to be compassionate and be open. I cannot imagine my life without my days full of my kids.

My Project

It will allow me to communicate with my students more efficiently as well as utilize it through a smart board and be able to walk around and monitor students while teaching lessons.

Utilizing the Ipad in class will allow me to show students how to use technology responsibly.

I can show examples of sites to use to access for college/career awareness as well as money skills. I want to use it to allow me to monitor students while being able to do a lesson while they are all on the same sites.
