My Project

My name is Dana Liberty, and I am a special education teacher who works with students with Autism. The students in my classroom spend the majority of the day in the special education setting.

I am looking to bring additional STEM and fine motor materials to my students to help them access skills that build creativity and curiosity, and develop many motor skills that aid in academics, all while having fun!

If this project was funded, I would have additional materials to rotate in with my students during STEM, fine motor time, morning meeting, and free choice. The materials being requested, such as magnetic blocks, snap toys, and sorting toys, would help contribute to additional social and fine motor skills development. They would encourage open-ended play components, and other kits would help students work on following directions and completing a task.
