This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my first year teaching special education math at the Jr. High level, and I was hired the first day school started, so I am trying very hard to get the classroom organized after-the-fact. My students have learning disabilities, ADD, autism, or other challenges and need a very structured classroom in order to function well. I need a long table where I can put their supplies. Also, they are very motivated by edible reinforcements, so candy and snacks are helpful! We appreciate any help to make our year successful and productive for these special learners.
