Spectacular Spanish-Language Biographies

Help me give my students who are just learning English a variety of biographies in Spanish to support their learning.

My Project

Our school library is often the first place students turn to when they need a little extra help in academics. They come to finish homework, to read, and to ask questions. Frequently, students who are new to English and/or new to our country are looking to fill in gaps in their knowledge with books. And they want to read in both English and their home language.

We need more books in Spanish, especially biographies.

These books will provide students with access to information in a comfortable format while engaging them in learning. Recently, we realized we have almost no biographies about women or athletes in any language besides English. Adding books on many reading levels in Spanish will support many of our students and get them excited to learn more.
