My Students
My students are hard workers who have a wide range of strengths. I work with special education students in sixth grade in a neighborhood school in a Title I district. Many families of the students I work with are in a lower income range, and they come from very diverse cultural, familial, and economic backgrounds. However, this does not stop them from always trying their best!
My Project
Majority of this school year we have been learning remotely! We have recently moved to a hybrid model of teaching and I am meeting ALL OF MY STUDENTS in person for THE VERY FIRST TIME! Keeping next school year in mind I am going to need more specialized seating to instruct my students during small groups. Learning in our socially distant classroom step up is a challenge for my students but they're doing the best they can in our current situation.
The horseshoe table and seating will allow for everyone to work collaboratively with each other.
It will also give me the opportunity to provide the attention each student deserves during our small group sessions.
