Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every morning, my students run to greet and hug me. It's the little things like this that let me know I am doing something right.
We are located in a low-income neighborhood.
My students include students with disabilities, English language learners, and those receiving various therapeutic services because of their disabilities. In addition, most of my students live in city housing and face challenges that small children should not face. These are sweet students who come to school to learn, and I try to make the best of my limited resources.
My Project
To help my students improve their writing skills, we need paper! We have already gone through a ton of paper during writing, and we need more. Because these are students with disabilities, they need differentiated resources. With your help, I will continue to be able to make beautiful anchor charts and my wonderful students can write their beautiful stories!
We go to school to learn and receive the best education we can.
Because of you, my students will be able to write endlessly about things that matter to them. They will become wonderful readers and writers in our community!
