Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are unique in their own special way. They all bring something to the table, however they sometimes need help staying focused. My students are all part of a special day class. They are creative, inventive, and at times a little too active and need some redirects. My students at times get left out of the main stream flow especially where technology is concerned.
My students are in need of technology to allow them to visually see and hear in their own unique way.
My students often do well when they can see examples vs just hearing. They are truly a sweet and deserving group of kids.
My Project
The project is for a document camera to be used in connection with my laptop for Distance Learning. My students are special needs students and are accustomed to learning from our document reader. During this time my students are having difficulty as a result of the environment changes.
Having a document reader will allow for some normality to their remote learning.
In these times, we are having to teach in class and virtually. Having a document camera will enable me to clearly show things in my classroom via Google Classroom. At this time I'm having to hold up the work, book, etc to show the students that are learning from home. The document camera will enable them to see clearly the document or book that is being used in my lesson. The document camera is a must in today's virtual classrooms.
