My Students

Our school is located in a small rural community. It is a diverse community and many of our students are below the poverty line. These students face so many challenges both inside and outside of the classroom. I want to be able to do everything I can for them to help them become successful learners and lovers of education.

My students are some of the most ambitious and enthusiastic third graders you will meet.

They come to school every morning ready to dive in to their day. Many of the students in my class have learning differences that make school more challenging for them. They don't let it hinder them in any way! We learn every day that the students are the ones in charge of their own attitude and their own day.

I love being a third grade teacher and spending my day devoted to teaching the next generation to be lifelong learners. My students are so important to me and I know they will go out into the world one day and do great things!

My Project

It is the start of a new school year and a great time to think forward to my students needs. I am requesting 5 stability balls for students whose bodies need to move in order to learn effectively. I am requesting bean bag covers to create a place for students to go to and get comfortable while they read or work.

Having alternative seating options will allow my students to learn in the way that is best for them.

It is so important for students to feel like they have choices and feel that their teacher has their best interests at heart. I think these seating choices will help my classroom environment be more effective and inclusive.
