My Project

Please help give my students the materials they need to achieve their goals! Many of the students in my room need self-correcting and adapted supplies in order to increase their independence. We have no budget for supplies in this classroom and are often making our own supplies. These students have physical and/or intellectual disabilities which interfere with their ability to access the normal grade level activities of their peers. Our goal is to make them as independent as possible and grow their self confidence! We work a lot to grow life skills and vocational skills, because for my students- the end goal is not college- but an inclusive job site. My students work a lot with money, time and puzzles to help grow their independence and we have a limited supply to work with, especially when all students are doing the same academics all at once in a group project. Classrooms such as mine need many different types of supplies as the students have very diverse needs. Many of these supplies will follow the students they are purchased for so they have the benefit of using them for their whole school experience. My students deserve the best and I just hope we can give the the best we can possibly give, anything and everything helps. Thank you so much!
