Using borrowed equipment, our class filmed a short movie that we would love to share at our spring showcase, however, editing it has become a challenge as our computers can’t handle the HD quality of the video. Our computers keep crashing or run slow, which would frustrate us. The film most likely will not be completed if we don’t get stronger computers with better processing power. We are seeking two new Macbook Pro laptops so that the film can be worked on in teams as opposed to just one student having access to our footage.
As a class, we’ve been so excited to go through the filmmaking process however, it is heartbreaking not to be able to finish due to editing issues related to not having strong enough and modern enough equipment.
It’s a wonderful film that highlights how talented students, on the spectrum and with other disabilities, can be when it comes to storytelling. Please help us finish our film and give us the opportunity to make more.
