Special Needs Students In Need Of Interactive Reading Books
My students need 3 Amazon Kindle Fire tablets to have access to interactive books at various reading levels which are not available at our high school.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students want to succeed and they are faced with many challenges. My students have special needs and read at various reading levels from 2nd to 11th grade. Our high school library does not offer books at lower reading levels and the students are not able to find books at their reading level.
The students in my classroom have special needs.
In our class we have students with specific learning disabilities, autism, and emotional disturbance. They attend high school and are enrolled in a special day classroom. They enjoy reading but are often discouraged when they are asked to read grade level text. Many of them read at lower levels and really enjoy reading .
My Project
I am requesting Amazon Kindle E Readers. These devices put thousands of books at your finger tips at various levels. They are interactive and make reading fun. They also offer educational applications that help improve student reading. The kindle will be like having a library in our classroom for all our students at all their levels.
This project is really important because their reading levels need to improve.
This technology will help increase reading in the classroom and it has been researched that the more you read the more you will improve.
