Special Needs Preschool Growing! Need Room for More Behinds!

My students need a larger rug for our group time.

My Students

Have you ever seen the light in a child's eyes when they learn something new? We see children light up everyday!

Our preschool classroom integrates children with autism, down syndrome, hearing impairments, physical impairments, and developmental delays with their typical peers.

We service 3-5 year old students that need special instruction to reach their potential.

My Project

Right now our group rug only holds 9 students. It has no defined boundaries for our students that need to know where their space is. We have students in chairs, on the rug, and sitting off on the side of the current rug. This new classroom rug would help my students find their spot and stay within the boundaries so every child could see and learn.

The State of Alabama has cut all funding to the classroom teacher for classroom purchases because of proration.

A growing number of children enter into our classroom every day to receive the specialized help that they need to learn to become productive members of society. Working hand in hand with their parents, we all set the groundwork for a lifetime of learning and growing. Please help a group of very special children.
