Help me give my students with special needs the equipment they need to engage in after school sports, participate in physical activity, and improve their social emotional skills.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach students with special needs ranging from 3rd grade to 8th grade. Our school is located on the Upper East Side in New York City, and focuses on students with behavioral and emotional needs, with 95% of students black or Hispanic, and at least 90% qualify for free or reduced price lunches.
Small class sizes mean we can focus on individual fundamental skills more closely for each student.
PE class gives them an opportunity to be active in a fun environment and work off stress. After school sports programs give students in different programs the opportunity to connect and interact as a team and with other students in their school.

My students with special needs deserve the extra love and support needed to help them learn and grow. In this special needs environment we need a way to help them express and control their social emotional behaviors. PE class gives them an opportunity to be active in a fun environment and work off stress. Sports teams and participating in Physical Education helps them build the social emotional life skills needed.
This is where you come in. We need your help to buy new equipment for our sports teams/PE classes. We need: volleyballs, basketballs, and badminton equipment.
