This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Having special needs does not stop my students from competing and wanting to win!! Staying hydrated will keep my students in the game!!
My students are in High School at a completely Special Education Center.
They participate in a sports league that allows them to compete against other special education schools, in soccer, floor hockey, basketball, and softball. This school and sports league allows my students to participate in sports and school activities similar to those of a general educational experience.
My Project
My students will use refillable sport bottles to stay hydrated during sporting events and practices. Instead of having to line up at the water fountain and wait for the team to be done, they can all get back to practices and back into game. Bottle carriers will help transport the water bottles to away games.
With water bottles for our special needs sports team, the players have the opportunity have more practice time, more time in the game, and more time playing the sports that they love.
It is also, little things like these that help the players feel even more like a team.
