Special Furniture For Special Needs

My Project

At CHS, our demographics are low-income families. While they attend CHS, I want them to feel welcomed and look forward to waking up every day attending my classroom. These resources will create an environment where they will be relaxed and willing to engage with lessons. The items our students chose were bean bags, fluffy rugs, lowered individualized tables with small ottomans to sit on, and a floor lamp that will create an ambiance while notes and independent work will be done. Our furniture is outdated and in need of upgrades which these options will give them. Currently, my students enjoy laying on the floor to write essays, complete notes, and socialize with one another. My hope is for students to feel cared for and supported.
