Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a special education teacher who is very passionate about helping her students. Next year I will have my own classroom and I want to ensure that my students feel welcomed. I want the room to be inviting, sensory appropriate, and child appropriate. This classroom is for the students not for me.

I want to have all of the materials (hands-on items) I need to help push these students to their potential.

I have including multiple manipulatives along with social-emotional items. Additionally I have requested organizational items like a cart, magazine files and construction paper organizer, as well as a carpet to create a calming corner. The social-emotional items will be used frequently. I have a lot of students who frequently have meltdowns and outburst. I want to focus on teaching these students how to regulate their emotions next year. Thank you so much for helping bring my vision to life.
