Special Education Students Strive for Success

Help me give my students headphones, organizers and hands-on manipulatives to aid in their learning since special education students benefit more from constant repetition, routine, and organizational skills.

My Project

My students strive to do what other students their age do, though they use accommodations, a slightly different method to learn and at a slower pace to achieve this success. The use of manipulatives, spiraling, organization, and a consistent schedule aid in creating success and longevity of learned skills for my students.

The manipulatives for this project are used to enhance learning through hands on learning.

The goal of using the manipulatives is to give the student an alternative way to visualize the math problem and physically use them to add, subtract, multiply, or group with a final result of a correct solution. As the students learn these skills thoroughly it creates a stronger base for the next skill or topic.
