Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their curiosity and determination. Every day, they come into our classroom ready to try, even when things are tough. They have big hearts and even bigger potential, and it’s a joy to watch them grow—especially when they realize they can understand something they didn’t think they could before.

In our extended resource setting, having the right tools makes a huge difference.

Composition notebooks help my students stay organized and keep track of what they’re learning in science. They can go back and look at their notes, drawings, and experiments, which helps build both confidence and memory. Color printing paper helps students that need differentiated or alternative assignments obtain the necessary worksheets in every class at any moment. Canon Office Products MAXIFY MB2120 Wireless Color Photo Printer with Scanner, Copier and Fax will guide my students obtaining adequate grade level worksheets that align with their level of learning and accommodations they need to succeed in the classroom. Many of my students are visual learners, so colorful diagrams and charts really help the concepts click.

Rulers help us with measurement activities, giving students hands-on experience and making abstract ideas like length and distance feel real. Binders help us keep everything in one place—worksheets, vocabulary, and notes—so students can take ownership of their learning. And pencils, something so basic, are still essential. My students go through them quickly with all their writing, sketching, and revising, and having a steady supply means one less barrier to participation.

With these supplies, I can create a more structured, supportive, and interactive learning environment. My students thrive when they’re given tools that match their learning style and needs. I love giving them every chance to succeed—and these materials help me do just that.
