This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The majority of my students have mild to moderate learning disabilities and are eligible for special education services. They come to the resource room to make gains toward their IEP goals but also to retreat to a judgement-free, comfortable environment where they can work toward State Standards. These resources will help them make gains to bridge their learning gaps. The students I work with are far below grade level and have been impacted greatly by the school closures. We are seeing that many have regressed in their academics along with social emotional learning. These materials will be used in high repetition so students can practice and develop life long skills that will be needed beyond their K-12 education.
