Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our special education classroom is a place where I want children to be inspired to love learning. I envision our classroom to have flexible seating options and provide fun, innovative and multi sensory ways for students to learn. I would like to have resources to support my philosophy to teach literacy: Science of Reading/ Multisensory approach. I also would want to provide resources for a hands on, differentiated approach to teach math. I want students to love coming to school. Thank you in advance for supporting our students!
My students will use sand and trays for their Orton Gillingham multi sensory inspired literacy instruction.
They will use the floor chairs and standing desk for flexible seating and learning style options. My special education students will be able to use the sensory materials in their calm down corner. Thank you again for your continued support!
