This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the year progresses and the supplies dwindle, I am more attuned to what is needed in my classroom. And most important, I am more aware of what my students need and how I can best prepare for any situation that comes along. In our cooking lessons, funded by our earlier Donors Choose project, I want to fill in a couple areas that were not complete--a microwave, for instance, to round out our kitchen appliances. Additionally, we are looking to becoming more eco-conscious and prefer lower carbon-footprint paper goods. One of the renewed and important areas of practice for my students is social skills. To work on this skill, we are doing more group activities, which includes playing games that are great for social interaction and sequencing practice. All in all, this request list represents supplies and tools that will help my students--directly or indirectly--to forward educationally, intellectually and socially. Cheers.
