My students need graph paper to help students with math difficulties (LD), and the other supplies will help the hyperactive behaviors and attention difficulties.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work with students who were identified and classified as a student with a disability. Most of the students have difficulties focusing, especially in classrooms and when taking tests. Students and their families do not have the resources, nor the education to help the students use other accommodations or modifications to help students focus, concentrate and have less anxious behaviors instead of medical interventions such as medications for our young students growing brain.
Our students should be given an opportunity to learn in an environment that suits their learning difference.
Not every student can learn in a traditional setting, or with traditional furniture, and/or equipment.
My Project
Many of our students with learning differences have difficulty focusing. The cushions, and special seats will help them focus, even through difficult task. Our students with learning difficulties have difficulty lining up numbers. Graph paper will help them work through that difficulty.
Having students with attention and focusing difficulties have the opportunity to use a privacy board will allow them to focus on the task at hand, and filter out distractions.
Timers will teach them time management skills by visually seeing how much time they have left.
These supplies will help the students obtain an education that could not otherwise be obtained to the best of their abilities since they have difficulties managing their behaviors that ultimately impact their learning and that of others.
