My Students

Learning and fun? Could those two words actually collide? With the Literacy and Math centers I have chosen, I am going to take that challenge on and make it happen!

My students struggle with anxiety disorders, conduct disorders, and a variety of other emotional disturbances.

However, in the end, they are children who need to learn. As their teacher and advocate, I am striving to meet their emotional and academic needs. Like all children, they are curious little learners and thrive with concrete, hands on learning opportunities within the classroom to reinforce the key skills taught.

My Project

I've selected Literacy and Math tools that are relevant to the needs of my students who span 3 different grades (2nd, 3rd, 4th). Within these 3 grades, I have a student who can write multiple paragraphs and students who struggle to write a complete sentence. The supplies I've selected for my students will help meet the needs of everyone in the classroom. My hope is to make learning FUN for my struggling students who not only need assistance academically, but emotionally as well.

Having new Literacy and Math Centers will help my students remain focused and find success, regardless of all the challenges that they bring to the table.

Small steps towards progress will catapult their education in leaps and bounds!
