Special Education Coffee Cart

Help me give my students the funds to build a coffee cart business! I am an elementary special education teacher and I want to create an in-school business run by my students to teach important life skills.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Skok's classroom raised $357

My Project

I teach a wonderful group of elementary students in our special education program. My students are bright, curious, and eager to learn real-world skills that will help them thrive both inside and outside the classroom. What I love most about my students is their resilience, creativity, and how they light up when given opportunities to be leaders in our school community.

We are excited to start a student-run coffee cart business within our school!

This project will give our students the chance to practice essential life skills such as communication, teamwork, following directions, money handling, and customer service in a fun, meaningful, and inclusive environment.

Each resource we're requesting will play an important role in making this project a success. The coffee maker, cups, creamers, syrups, and other drink supplies will allow us to serve our school staff while teaching students how to prepare and deliver orders. Aprons will give our students a sense of pride and responsibility as they take on their new job roles. A rolling cart will make it easy for our team to visit classrooms and deliver drinks, and a money box will give students hands-on experience with handling money and making change.

Most importantly, this project will help our students build confidence, independence, and job-readiness skills that they will carry with them into their futures. We can’t wait to see them shine!
