My Project

As the school year is winding down, I want to get a jump on the supplies I will need for the 2025-2026 school year. Everyday supplies help keep my classroom running smoothly from erasers to weighted stuffies.

What makes our school a special place is it serves a very diverse population.

With a diverse population comes its own challenges. More than 3 quarters of the population comes from a low-income family. What this means is students don't always come to school with the supplies needed to be as successful as they could be. By providing the essential items to students, this helps them focus on the task at hand and not worrying about not having the right supplies.

I have also included weighted stuffies, fabric mazes, privacy screens, and a few other items to help when a student is feeling upset or dis-regulated. These items help calm the students which gets them back to learning more quickly.
