Special Education Classroom - Art, Cooking and Basics Needed

My students need art supplies (glue sticks, watercolors, markers), cooking supplies (electric griddle) and a laminator for our Special Education classroom.

My Students

No student should be faced with a classroom that cannot provide the basic supplies needed to develop, grow and succeed.

My students are in the second, third and fourth grades in a self-contained Special Education classroom.

They attend a small, public school with tight budgets all across our district. Tight budgets or not, my students come to school every day to learn and I come to teach. With the proper tools and attitude, the sky is the limit!

My Project

I'm a teacher so I know how to pinch a penny. Many of the supplies requested, such as laminating film and dry erase markers will allow me to create activities that can be reused year after year instead of wasting our precious supply of paper. I've also requested an electronic griddle, as this is a special education classroom and cooking is a fun and interactive way to learn. I'm most excited for the markers, crayons and colored pencils. These supplies would be with used for an endless number of projects that promote fine motor and sequencing skills, while allowing my students to increase their ability to creatively express themselves.

My students are the unfortunate victims of a school district in crisis.

Without the support from the public, precious time needed for instructional planning is used trying to find ways to inexpensively acquire the most basic classroom needs. We are desperate. Please help us.
