Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a class of wonderful students with moderate support needs. Many of my students are neurodivergent and benefit from specific tools that support their unique strengths and challenges.
Weighted blankets help students feel grounded and regulated, while building toys allow them to focus their attention in calming and creative ways.
I also use carpet marker strips to define boundaries in the classroom, giving students clear and consistent personal space.
