My Project
The 5th and 6th grade Leadership Club of RES voted 6 to 5 that we need to speak up for sensory paths to be available to all grades in every hallway and outside!
The paths are for kids that need to take a quick brain break, calm down, or switch their brain from fight or flight mode back to thinking mode.
The 5th and 6th grade Leadership Club is going to use this project as a way to benefit their school community as opposed to just helping themselves. Through the installation of these designated sensory paths for all grade levels, the leadership students will be supporting the entire school's development, engagement, and well being. The team will also do a presentation at the monthly PBIS Assembly to announce the pathways and explain the benefits to the students and teachers.
