My Project
When people don't have enough to eat and don't know where their next meal will come from everything else becomes secondary. They feel as though they have no control. Growing a garden with vegetables will give my students excitement to learn about healthy food choices and will give them a sense of control. By having the students garden various vegetables it will interest them into trying something they grew themselves. It will also give them food to enjoy. My students will learn how to garden at school and take their skills home and start their own garden for their families.
These gardening supplies will help make science lessons come to life and give them a sense of security!
We are in need of the planters, bench, seeds, and soil.
Learning about plant cycles, food insecurity, and bringing that experience to life will make this experience a lesson my students will never forget! Any help would be amazing!
