My Project
Our percussion section needs a set of crotales—those dazzling, tuned bronze discs that add shimmering, bell-like accents to our repertoire. Crotales are indispensable for highlighting melodies, creating ethereal textures, and teaching students advanced mallet techniques. Right now, our program lacks this specialty instrument, limiting both our repertoire choices and our students’ exposure to the full palette of orchestral and band percussion sounds.
Without a dedicated set of crotales, our students miss out on essential performance and learning opportunities.
These instruments may seem like a small addition, but they play a big role in developing precision, ear training, and ensemble listening skills. When students learn to play crotales, they gain confidence in handling delicate mallets, refine their timing, and experience the thrill of contributing those sparkling high-register highlights that make a piece truly magical.
With your support, we can provide our students with professional-quality crotales that will inspire creativity, broaden our musical selections, and elevate the entire ensemble’s performance. Your generosity will allow young percussionists to master new techniques, collaborate more effectively, and discover the joy of bringing musical “stars” to life on stage. Thank you for investing in our program and helping our students reach new heights in their musical journey!
