This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Keeping our sensory room clean and safe for our special students is a top priority. Unfortunately, we do not have the funds to purchase the necessary cleaning tools and products to upkeep our new sensory room. We need your help to make this room sparkling for our students.

A clean sensory room is a haven for children with autism, providing them with the tools they need to self-regulate and thrive.

However, to ensure this space remains safe, healthy, and effective, it must be kept clean and free of allergens, germs, and odors. Our students have sensitive immune systems, making cleanliness a top priority in maintaining their well-being.

To achieve this, we need essential cleaning supplies stored in a locked cabinet for safety. Gloves protect staff while handling messes, while a vacuum and carpet cleaner help remove dust and allergens. A door mat minimizes dirt entering the room, keeping the space as clean as possible.

Maintaining fresh air quality is also crucial. An oil diffuser provides a calming atmosphere while improving air freshness. Fabric Febreze ensures soft surfaces remain odor-free and pleasant. Clorox disinfecting wipes, multi-surface spray, and disposable cleaning towels allow for quick, effective sanitization of sensory toys, equipment, and frequently touched areas, reducing germs and promoting a healthy space.

Our children are special and require extra care to meet their personal needs. By providing a clean and safe sensory room, we are ensuring they have a comfortable and hygienic environment to explore, regulate, and grow. Investing in these cleaning supplies is investing in their health, happiness, and success. Let’s give our students the safe, sensory-friendly space they deserve!
