This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is our first year of the P.S. Dance Team, and our dancers deserve to shine on stage. This group of dancers has been working hard since the audition process at the start of this school year to earn their spot on the team. As we prepare for their first performance in December, I hope to give them the full team experience, which means we need a uniform! These costumes show our school spirit in our school colors and will help dancers to shine in the stage lights.
With these beautiful costumes, dancers will feel confident in their performance attire and unified as a team.
As a Title 1 school, these students often do not have the resources to participate in outside of school dance programs, so these performances are formative to their educational experience. Through Dance Team, fourth and fifth grade students can explore their creative side to help guide them in their educational journey and even their future career choices.
These dancers are practicing 24/7 between rehearsals and at home practice, and these costumes will help them feel like the performers I know they can be. These costumes will be cherished by students and worn not only for our many performances during this school year, but also for many years of students to come! Thank you in advance for supporting our blossoming stars!
