Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

So many of my students already love to read... But, I want to encourage them even more! I was able to start a good collection of non-fiction texts in my classroom but I want to widen their options a little bit and bring the exciting fiction stories onto the shelves as well.

I did some research and found book series that are flying off the shelves at other schools and I added those to my list!

The kiddos will be so excited to see some new books in our classroom.

A goal students have at our school is to read two books and complete a book report on them each quarter. This earns them a reward from the school. With this being an optional reading goal I am hoping that providing some additional books to our classroom library will motivate their reading even more.
