My Project
My “traveling” classroom consists of 8 wonderful students who have multiple disabilities, ranging from moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, visual impairments, hearing impairments, and other health impairments, along with speech disorders. Due to also being medically fragile, they are served through a Homebound program.
The materials I am requesting will provide each student the ability to use their unique learning style to explore materials supporting language development, motor skills, sensory attributes, and cognitive ability.
I go weekly into their homes instructing them through activities that target their individual goals developed by a multi-disciplinary team who work with the child.
Through interactive and facilitative play, circle time, math, ELA, and fine and gross motor activities, I strive to enhance their learning potential! My students also receive occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as nursing services in their home...and well, like all children, just want to have FUN when learning! Help me Spark their Success with these Multi-Sensory Materials!
