This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Math is meant to be play-based and hands-on. In pursuit of this goal, it often means that educators have to get creative with the materials provided and make compromises when they fall short. A variety of learning styles also makes small group time essential to mathematical exploration. By having games and manipulatives to work with, all of my scholars will have the opportunity to learn math concepts through hands-on experiences. Fractions tiles would be especially helpful as scholars grapple with dividing fractions.
By donating to our project, you will help my scholars refine their math skills in challenging yet engaging ways.
Furthermore, the funding will provide comfortable seating to furnish a small group space where I can work more closely with each of my blossoming mathematicians!
