it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students he expressed an interest in reading different historical fiction novels. The purpose of novels is to renew books that have been read excessively and need to be replaced. Some books have been chosen that are new topics that students have expressed an interst in. The novels will encourage students to read, make connections to what they are learning.
They will provide students with a unique way to understand the past, and connect with historical events and figures with a human narrative.
As student are encourage to read historical fiction they will be inspired to critically think about history and society and question it. By exploring past events through fictional characters and stories, my students will hopefully grasp the complexities of the past and its impact in the world that we live in today. It will bring life to events that sometimes students find boring.
