This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Kindergarten students have a natural desire to create, experiment, and test their ideas. During our construction unit, I want to give them meaningful opportunities to do so.

The right materials will encourage students to ask questions, explore new ideas, and develop a deep understanding of the world around them.

During this unit, students consider problems that they see and think about what they can do to fix it. We use the design process to guide our thinking and creating. The items that I am requesting include different types of building materials, wooden structures, and hands-on manipulatives which students will use to bring their ideas to life.
