it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Spark the light of literacy through a local author's storytelling is a project to connect students to a community stakeholder's art of writing.
"Brighter Ways Forward: Reflections on Sports, Tech, and Socioeconomic Mobility" will provide high school students the opportunity to read and discuss how sports and the tech industries affect the world around them.
The project seeks to purchase 30 (a class set) of the "Brighter Ways Forward: Reflections on Sports, Tech, and Socioeconomic Mobility" books to be used during the month of February for Black History as well as April for Financial Literacy with hopes the author will read with the students and share insights of why he wrote the book.
