My Students

We need to get moving! Do you remember what it was like to learn a new game in Physical Education? We love playing kickball, tag and basketball but we need some new games to get out hearts racing again!

Students in my class LOVE Physical Education!

We are a city school with limited playing facilities. We are a small public school in California. With only 200 students K-5, we are a close knit community of parents, staff, and students. We appreciate our parent's active participation in their students educational development, evidenced by their willingness to volunteer and contribute items needed to accomplish our mission and goals. But due to the state budget crisis, we need to ask for additional donations from DonorsChoose. We serve low income students, English Language Learners, Gifted and Talented students, and general education students.

My Project

With obesity rates rising in our country we need to get kids moving and learning lifelong positive fitness habits. This curriculum kit will enable us to teach students fun activities that promote lifelong fitness. The 3-6 PE Curriculum Manual includes over 500 different activities! Each unit is written in scope and sequence and includes activities aligned to NASPE National Standards. Personalized fitness monitoring, social skills themes, clear visuals and diagrams complete this comprehensive curriculum. Each 3-6 manual comes with a CD that provides an additional 450 skill and task cards, assessment tools, pedometer activities, home plays, and much more! The 3-6 Music CD has all the music you need to teach SPARK PE Grades 3-6 on one CD! The CD includes warm-up music, long and short music intervals (with 10 second breaks) for skill/fitness circuits, and 14 songs (cultural, current, country, and more!) to instruct SPARK Dances.

In elementary school kids LOVE running around!

This program will promote continued movement and fitness activities at home and throughout each students' life! Giving to this project will benefit students in my class this year and for many years to come because the activities and curriculum can be repeated year after year! Donating to this Physical Education Curriculum Project will add years to some students' lives - really!
