Spark my Curiosity and Tap into My Amazingness

Help me give my students a wide variety of interesting books to lose themselves in, to spark their curiosity, and to provide the breadcrumbs that lead to rich discussion and inquiry.

My Project

Help me provide my students with a lively, interesting learning experience by exploring thought-provoking books. I strive for a classroom library that stands as a destination that students look forward to visiting because we build an atmosphere of exploration, growth, and fantastic fiction! All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind- filling in gaps in series, connecting to other series, catering to changing student interests, and defining what being a maturing fiction reader can feel like. Over the last few weeks, I have watched my students gravitate toward titles just like these, and I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading.

With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of intriguing books that spark their curiosity, lead to more discussion, and get kids hooked on series while allowing each respective student to read independently at their own grade level.

After all, the best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
