Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The goal of this project is to create a more inclusive, engaging, and focused learning environment for my students.
I want to ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed, whether they need a sensory break, individualized support, or a bit of motivation to keep going.
These resources will help make the classroom a place where students feel comfortable, supported, and ready to learn to the best of their ability.
Scratch and Sniff Stickers: These fun and sensory-rich stickers will add an element of excitement and motivation to my students’ learning. They will be used as rewards for completing tasks, encouraging positive behavior, and recognizing students' hard work.
Fidget Toys: These toys are a great tool for helping students focus, especially for those who may struggle with attention or need to move to concentrate. Fidget toys provide a safe outlet for excess energy, allowing students to remain engaged with lessons without getting distracted. They can also be a calming tool during stressful moments, providing students with a way to regulate their emotions and behaviors.
Headphones: Many of my students work best when they can focus on individualized tasks without external distractions. The headphones will help them concentrate during independent learning activities, such as listening to educational videos, audio books, or completing digital lessons. This will help cater to different learning styles, especially for auditory learners, while promoting focus in a busy classroom environment.
