This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the school year has continued we are receiving new students that are Spanish speakers and have no English background. Their first experience is my classroom and I would like for them to find a connection with their language. There are times in the day when the students are given time to read independently. These books will help them find books like the English ones that are already in the library but in their language.

Reading is reading no matter the language.

They need to feel wanted in our classroom and these books will help them see that they belong.
