This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Letter recognition and learning how to blend sounds is an essential skill for kindergarten students to capture by the end of the school year. My kindergarten dual language students work hard every day practicing their letter sounds and preparing themselves to become readers. With these manipulatives, my students will be given different ways to practice these skills. Some of my students are hands on learners while others are visual learners. These manipulatives will allow access to all types of learners and provide more excitement for my students. Our classroom currently lacks sufficient resources in Spanish, this would be a big help!
