This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My wonderful first graders are in need of Spanish books to read during independent reading time.

They are wonderful first graders with a desire to read amazing books to expend their academic growth.

They love to read books especially books that they can relate to in their native language. Our school is located in back of the yards in Chicago, its a CPS school in a low poverty area.

My Project

These incredible books that I've picked for these wonderful twenty seven students will increase their passion for reading. Having books in the classroom that they can relate to and in their native language will motivate them and increase their reading stamina.

This project will benefit all of my first graders by having a variety of Spanish books in the classroom that they can read and achieve academic growth.

They enjoy reading books and this is a great project to fund because having a book to read can definitely make a difference in a student growth.
