Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At our school, our students are given time to read for enjoyment. My English language learners would love to be a part of this leisure reading but sometimes it is hard to find books they like that are in their native language. I would like to make books in Spanish more accessible to them so they too can enjoy top book hits like their classmates!

Reading expands vocabulary for all students, but it is hard for our newcomers who are learning English to get into a book that is hard for them to understand.

My goal for this project is to provide equal opportunities to these fun books for all my students.
