This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In September, I am starting to teach a Dual Language Pre-K class in Brooklyn. My classroom needs more books in Spanish so I can teach all content areas in both languages.

I teach in a school in Brooklyn.

I have eighteen wonderful, curious and loving pre-kindergarten students. Some of them are learning English and others are learning Spanish. For many of them, this is their first school experience. I want them to have an amazing year.

My Project

I need books that I can read to my students that support various social studies and science topics in Spanish. This year, my students will learn about the planets in the solar system, dinosaurs, and insects. In social studies, they will explore the topics of families and communities. While I have books in English, I need many more books in Spanish so I can truly teach in both languages.

Please help me purchase books so I can create a literacy rich and fun dual language environment for my Pre-K students so they can learn in both English and Spanish.
